24-Hour Access to Lab Software
The Library proposes to collaborate with departmental computing labs to utilize DCE authentication to allow the assumption of software licenses for specialized departmental lab software, when those labs are closed.
The assumption of software licenses improves the level of service offered by library computer labs. By giving students after-hours access to the specialized software they need to accomplish their class projects, the library computer labs (and by extension the library) becomes relevant to academic success. It would require cooperation with ITS and individual departmental computer labs.
