RIT Libraries Strategic Plan
Current Awareness Service
The Library proposes subscribing to a research-level current awareness service, such as Current Contents Connect (CCC) from ISI. A service such as this will be instrumental in keeping faculty and students informed and up-to-date in their fields of study.
Keeping on top of cutting edge research places RIT scholars in better positions to become leaders in their fields.
Some of the elements of the RIT Strategic Plan addressed by this goal include:
Goal A4: RIT will continue to invest in academic support services many students need to succeed in our many challenging academic programs.Goal C4: RIT will allocate resources to support scholarly activity, with particular attention to engaging students, adjusting workloads, and reducing barriers to cross-college collaboration in scholarship.
