NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN ART: GUIDE TO LIBRARY RESOURCES
This guide is intended to assist the student doing basic research on the art and
culture of the North American Indian tribes. The selection of well illustrated
general surveys and representative examples of general and specialized studies
of individual tribes and art media includes classic works and more recent
publications. A list of subject headings that will enable the researcher to
locate many more titles through "Einstein," the RIT Library catalog is
provided for each section. Periodicals that frequently publish material about
North American Indian art and culture and indexing and abstracting services that
provide access to these publications (including subject headings for various
aspects of this topic) are given in the final section of the guide.
