Frames Tutorial

Frames are Netscape's extensions to standard HTML. By now, however, several other browsers, such as Microsoft'a Internet Explorer also support frames. Frames can improve navigability to your Web site and add functionality to it. Frames are very good if you want something to stay on the screen, like a navigational bar or a table of contents.

Don't over use the frames though. The rules of Web design don't change: Keep it simple.
