Arts Abstracts

Art Abstracts is located by going to FirstSearch. Choose Art Abstracts from the list of databases. The search options for all databases using the First Search Interface are the same. The Basic Search Screen will automatically open, however an Advanced Search Screen option is also available. The artist's name "rene magritte" was typed in the search box. It is not necessary to capitalize proper name. The databases using the First Search interface are not case sensitive.

After you have completed your search request, click on the Start Search button. The screen below shows the results of the search. This search produced 78 records (or hits) in the Art Abstracts Database. The first five records are shown below.

To find out if RIT Library has this article, go to Einstein (the library's online catalog) and search by TITLE for the title of the Journal (sometimes called "source" in the citation record).
