Creating Durable Links to Full Text Journal Articles and eBook Chapters Featured in the Library's Databases

Have you ever wanted to directly point your students to an online journal article or book chapter but haven't been sure how to because the link that worked for your session doesn't work when you refer back to it later?

Many of the library's databases provide methods to create durable links (also referred to as persistent links or stable links) to online full-text articles and book chapters.

Via a durable link someone can click on an article or book link provided on a syllabus, email, webpage, myCourses, Idea Tools, etc., and go directly to the item they need to read. Here is a step-by-step guide.

Need help creating links? Contact the Reference Desk at 475-2563 or use our One 2 One service
